Climate Change and Global Warming Introduction
Global warming and climate change is looked at this section as a cosmic threat to each and everyone of us. Introduced are some of the effects of climate change. In addition, this section attempts to give discernment into what government, companies, international institutions and other organizations are bidding about this issue, as well as the challenges they face.
Global warming or climate change, is a subject that shows no sign of cooling down. Yes, earth is obviously experiencing this. Some of the signs are evident such as the rising of temperature in 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit since 1880 according to NASA. Another sign is the rapid disappearing of Arctic ice, in which the polar bears and other indigenous cultures are already suffering the sea-ice loss. Further more are the upsurge extreme weather events such as wild fires, heat waves and strong tropical storms. Why all of these are happening? Are humans accountable for causing these?

REACTION:
As a citizen who is very aware of this global issue, I can
say that I can feel very much the effect of global warming and climate change.
I often complain about the warm and humid weather but I am also very much aware
that Philippines is a tropical country. But then I cannot anymore take the heat
of our surroundings. Maybe you can also notice and feel the situation in which
you just immediatley felt the sting and your skin is like burnt. In my own
observation our environment is getting hotter and hotter because a few years
ago, I have never experienced such this kind of climate. Another thing that I have observed is the
different cycle of seasons here in our
country. Usually we have summer season during the month of March and April. But
last summer I experienced rainy season on which I have concluded that climate
really changed. As I have also seen on the news there are many natural calamities
happening all over the world, the most recent calamity that happened to us was
the flood in Manila and other parts of Luzon, in which many lives are wasted
and a lot of properties damaged and destroyed by the monsoon.
